The Washington Business Journal has recognized MicroTech in corporate donations and community volunteering at their 2012 Corporate Philanthropy Awards. The event was held today at the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington DC. There were 500 in attendance for the announcements — the largest philanthropy event the publication has ever hosted.

The annual ceremony honors the region's most active and inspirational companies and nonprofits who have made a difference in their communities through both financial and volunteer philanthropic work.

MicroTech and their 400-employees ranked in the Top 5 in volunteer hours in a list of 25 of the most active locally based companies that included Booz Allen Hamilton, Lockheed Martin, and Marriott International.

MicroTech ranked in the Top 50 for local monetary giving in a list of companies that included Verizon Communications, IBM Corp., and Giant Food.
