Last week, MicroTech partnered once again with Fort Belvoir to highlight our nation's military. Soldiers from Fort Belvoir Community Hospital competed in the annual Soldier and noncommissioned officer (NCO) of the Year competition. Contestants endured four days of continuous military tactical and technical testing, physical fitness, and writing examinations.
The "Best of the Best" Warriors (NCO and Soldier of the U.S. Army Element) for this year's event were Sergeant Ian Faling and Specialist Lyndsee Wheaton. At the final ceremony, Command Sergeant Major Tom Craig extended his thanks to MicroTech for their continued support of several Fort Belvoir programs: this year's awards, the Wounded Warrior Program, Fisher House Foundation, and the Army's Combatives Center.
MicroTech President and CEO, Tony Jimenez, said, "Our sustained support of the Belvoir Community doesn’t even compare to what the Soldiers and the families provide to our Nation. It's an honor to be able to partner with the Army's leadership in recognizing these heroes."
