Senior Accountant HQ-101

Purpose
Responsible for the accounting function for the Products division
Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries to determine the product division’s allocations, revenue, and costs.
- Evaluate general ledger accounts and prepare the product division’s balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement to be submitted to senior management.
- Advise management in the preparation of the annual budget and review actual results and prepare a report of variances.
- Assist the Controller-Products in the contract performance review and analysis (cost, schedule, contract performance, variance and risk analysis).
- Assist the Controller-Products in the development and preparation of pricing for proposals.
- Provide data and analysis support related to audits and special financial information requests.
- Review accounts payable documents prior to posting to the general ledger.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- BS Accounting/Finance or four (4) years of equivalent work experience.
- At least three (3) years government contractor experience preferred.
- 2-3 years of general ledger accounting experience.
- Experience with financial transactions and preparing financial statements.
- Knowledge and experience with accounting procedures and systems; including Deltek GCS, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc).
- Excellent communication and people skills with strong organizational ability.
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments, work with little supervision and well under pressure
