Vienna, VA – August 19, 2010—MicroTech, a leading technology systems integrator, has been named as the No. 1 fastest growing business that has made the Inc. 500 list three consecutive years in a row. This noteworthy achievement is a testament of MicroTech's definitive ranking as one of the most rapidly-growing private companies in the entire U.S. MicroTech was one of only 92 companies that made a return trip to the list. By coming in at No. 53 this year MicroTech moved up 123 spots from its 2009 position (No. 176), and overall, 232 spots from its first year on the list in 2008 (No. 285).
One of America's small business success stories, MicroTech provides Systems Integration, Technology Solutions, and Unified Communications and Collaboration primarily in government computing environments - managing over half-a-million tech users in the Public Sector daily. A Prime Contractor on more than 100 Federal projects and 20-plus contract vehicles, MicroTech offers access to 500,000 tech products and services across the government.
"We are very excited to gain more ground at the top of this premier business growth measurement in America," said Tony Jimenez, MicroTech President & CEO. "MicroTech's three-peat appearance on the Inc. 500 confirms our continued, consistent success and highlights another year of outstanding business accomplishments. Calculating our financial growth is always important, however our company's success can be measured in other ways; adding value to our service, delivering more than expected, and ultimately satisfying our customers."
As an Inc. 500 honoree, MicroTech shares a prestigious pedigree with such notable high-tech alumni as Microsoft, Intuit, Oracle, and scores of other powerhouses.
"Growing at all during these past few years of recession, frozen credit, uncertain markets, and depressed business and consumer spending is noteworthy," said Jane Berentson, Managing Editor of Inc. Magazine. "Growing fast verges on incredible. Congratulations to you and your team. Inc. recognizes the creativity, dedication, and hard work that have gone into building MicroTech into what it is today..."
Founded in 1979, Inc. is the only major business magazine dedicated exclusively to owners and managers of growing private companies that delivers real solutions for today's innovative company builders. The 29th annual Inc. 500 list measures revenue growth from 2006 through 2009. To qualify, companies must be U.S. based, are privately held, for profit and independent - not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies.
MicroTech's rapid growth has been recently recognized by a number of business and industry groups including the Everything Channel's CRN Magazine, Washington Business Journal, SmartCEO Magazine, Washington Technology, Virginia Chamber of Commerce, and Hispanic Business.
