Vienna, VA – October 23, 2012— Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) recognized MicroTech President & CEO Tony Jimenez last night as one of the Top 100 Entrepreneurs of 2012 by saluting his sustained innovation and leadership at their inaugural Builders & Innovators Summit this week. The three day invitation-only event has gathered the Top 100 leaders from multiple industries across the country in Newport Beach, California.
At the summit the distinguished business leaders will be exchanging their insights about their individual successes. As one of the “Most Innovative Entrepreneurs”, Jimenez is sharing his vast Technology experience as he networks with other prominent leaders in their respected fields. The guest list and speaker lineup for the event includes U.S. President Bill Clinton, former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Co-Founder & CEO of Dreamworks Jeffrey Katzenberg, Founder & CEO of Under Armour Kevin Plank, and New Yorker writer and best-selling author Malcolm Gladwell to name a few on the cutting edge of innovation.
Although Jimenez is the Founder, President, and CEO of the largest Hispanic-Owned IT Integrator in the Nation, he admitted he was not expecting to be one of the chosen few to participate in this prestigious inaugural event. “This invite is really a prolific milestone for me and my company MicroTech…to think that just eight years ago I was drafting up my first proposal at my kitchen table in Northern Virginia,” reflected Jimenez. “I humbly accept this recognition as one of the ‘Most Innovative Entrepreneurs’ and will continue to be a beacon for taking technology to the next level.”
MicroTech provides Technology Services, Network Systems Integration, Product Solutions, Cloud Computing, Unified Communications & Collaboration, Cyber Security, Mobility, and Social Media Solutions as well as leadership/management skills courses, business simulations and vital industry certifications as part of MicroTech University to commercial enterprises, along with the public sector — managing more than half-a-million technology users daily. A prime contractor of over 100 Federal projects and more-than-25 procurement vehicles, MicroTech offers access to 2500 vendors and a million technology products and services across the government.
"We are honored to have Tony Jimenez join us as one of the Top 100 Most Innovative Entrepreneurs…," said David Solomon, co-head of investment banking at Goldman Sachs. “This gathering is the first of its kind, bringing together emerging entrepreneurs from a diverse set of industries with more seasoned entrepreneurs to discuss how to build great and enduring companies that reshape their industries and make the world better through innovation."
For more than 140 years, Goldman Sachs has been advising and financing entrepreneurs as they launch and grow their businesses. In addition to honoring 100 entrepreneurs like MicroTech’s leading innovation and leadership provided by Jimenez, the conference includes general sessions and clinics led by Goldman Sachs experts and resident scholars.
