GSA Guidance Program Offers New Firms Federal Partnership Opportunities with Established, Successful Businesses

Vienna, VA – November 19, 2012 — Leading Service Provider and Technology Integrator MicroTech has entered into U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Mentor – Protégé Relationship agreements with TechAnax LLC. The GSA Mentor-Protégé program is designed to encourage and motivate GSA prime contractors to assist small businesses and enhance their capability of performing successfully on GSA contracts. MicroTech is currently the only designated Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) mentor with more than one protégé in the entire program.

One of America's small business success stories, MicroTech provides Technology Services, Network Systems Integration, Product Solutions, Cloud Computing, Unified Communications & Collaboration, Cyber Security, Mobility, and Social Media Solutions as well as leadership/management skills courses, business simulations and vital industry certifications as part of MicroTech University to commercial enterprises, along with the public sector — managing more than half-a-million technology users daily. A prime contractor of over 100 Federal projects and more-than-25 procurement vehicles, MicroTech offers access to 2500 vendors and a million technology products and services across the government.

To be eligible as a mentor, a firm must be a large business prime contractor, or a small business prime contractor that can provide developmental assistance to enhance the capabilities of protégés to perform as contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.

“We are proud to be in a position to offer a hand up to such a promising new company like TechAnax,” said Tony Jimenez, President & CEO of MicroTech. “We have firsthand experience using the GSA Mentor – Protégé program to play an important part in teaming up small businesses with more established enterprises like MicroTech. Here is where we can lend our experience, guidance, and considerable success in the Federal contracting arena.”

To be eligible for selection as a protégé, a firm must be a Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), Women-Owned Small Business, HUBZone Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that meets the government definition of a small business concern.

“We are very excited to know that MicroTech has enough confidence in TechAnax to extend a hand to us and to include us in their very successful company Mentor – Protégé program.” said Byron Athan, President of TechAnax. “MicroTech has proven their success in the government technology arena and offers great corporate resources and to open the right doors for TechAnax in this field.”

Montclair, Virginia-based TechAnax LLC (www.TechAnax.com) is an evolving VOSB whose leadership has developed a reputation for customer service, quality, professionalism, and competitive pricing. The senior management of TechAnax offer over 50 years of collective global experience supporting all levels of government and know how to put the critical pieces of a worldwide solution together to solve government Information Technology (IT) requirements.

The Mentor – Protégé program is intended to foster the establishment of long-term relationships between small businesses and GSA prime contractors and increase the overall number of small businesses that receive GSA prime contract and subcontract awards.
