Vienna, VA - December 1, 2011 - The votes are in and three of the MicroTech sponsored heroes of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) have been selected by the fans as winners at the Fourth Annual World MMA Awards, held November 30th in Las Vegas. Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones was selected as "Fighter of the Year"; UFC Lightweight Champ Frankie Edgar defeating Gray Maynard at UFC 125 was the "Fight of the Year" fan favorite; and Heavyweight contender Alistair Overeem was voted "International Fighter of the Year."

Devised to celebrate success and achievement within the MMA industry, the awards gave fans the opportunity to cast their vote on which athletes, brands, and industry professionals have made the greatest impact on the sport this year. Votes were cast either through the Worldmmaawards.com Web site or via a free iPhone application.

Camellia Brown, a 25-year-old detention officer from Mesa, Ariz., was the big winner in the MicroTech MMA Awards Sweepstakes. She was the recipient of a prize package of travel for two, hotel accommodations, and tickets to attend the star-studded event and the opportunity to mingle with her favorite MMA stars. "I'm so stoked," she exclaimed, when receiving the news.
