For the fifth consecutive year, MicroTech has been named as one of the “Top 50” fastest growing companies in the Washington DC area by the Washington Business Journal (WBJ). The annual ranking was announced last night at the WBJ’s “50 Fastest Growing Companies” Awards Ceremony held at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner. Sustaining itself as a prominent DC-based tech-focused firm, MicroTech’s revenue has increased over 25,000 percent since its launch in 2004.
Tony Jimenez, President & CEO of MicroTech, accepted the award for his company’s 30th ranking on this year’s list of the fastest growing businesses in the DC area. He said he felt “extremely honored” to receive this award for MicroTech’s successful three year growth rate of over 40 percent.
“MicroTech continues to set record growth rates because we provide proven, innovative solutions that not only accomplish our clients’ missions, but also help them with problem areas they have not yet encountered,” Jimenez said. “To continue our growth,” he stated, “MicroTech’s strategic plan is simple—keep investing in the future of technology.”
The WBJ’s Awards Ceremony honoring businesses with three consecutive years of growth was so popular that all tickets to the Tysons Corner Ritz-Carlton event were completely sold out. And rightfully so, because as the networking function to celebrate the nation’s most innovative achievers, the Journal pulled out all the stops: with cocktail reception, dinner, and an awards presentation that bestowed a signature award to each company.
“It was a memorable evening,” said Jimenez. “The Washington Business Journal always does a great job at gathering the district’s top innovators and thought leaders and their efforts are much appreciated,” he said.
Named as one of DC’s top leaders in the IT field, MicroTech was also recognized by the WBJ as the No. 1 Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business on their ranking of the “100 Largest Private Companies” in the DC area.
